KERALA UNDER UNLIMITED RAIN.

 



Heavy rains hit central Kerala on Tuesday, forcing authorities to issue warnings to residents hit by the floods. Educational institutions have been closed in the affected areas while vigilance has been asked for local residents.

District collectors have declared public holidays for schools in the flood-hit taluks in many of the state's central districts. Authorities are also making preparations to evacuate residents in flooded areas in the event of emergencies.

The meteorological department warned that the strong wave is likely to continue for the next two days.Water levels in Kuttanad, the rice bowl of coastal Alappuzha district, rose as rivers flowing through the region breached its territory in many places.
