Educational institutions remain closed in Pathanamthitta, 3 Kottayam taluks and Kuttanad.

 All educational institutions in Pathanamthitta district and some parts of Kottayam district remain closed today following a yellow alert from India's weather agency.

Pathanamthitta district collector Divya S Iyer said the holiday was declared after taking into account isolated heavy rains in the district, flooding, the possibility of landslides and rising water levels in rivers. However, scheduled university examinations are held.

Schools and colleges in Kottayam, Changanassery and Vaikom taluks are closed on Tuesday.
Educational institutions also remain closed in Kuttanad of Alappuzha. A yellow alert has been issued in all districts of Kerala except Kasaragod.

Carlsen defeated R.Praggnanandhaa in the final but the 18-year-old dragged him into overtime.
