Diwali/Deepavali 2022: History, Significance,and Importance

Happy Diwali 2022 Diwali, the Festival of Lights, symbolises the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and falls on the day of 'amavasya', or new moon, in the Hindu month of Kartik. This year it is observed on October 24th, which is a Monday. The five-day celebrations begin with Dhanteras and end with Bhai Dooj. On the third day, people join Diwali or Deepavali celebrations together. Associated with wealth and luck, it begins at the end of the growing season and heralds prosperity. It is widely believed that the festival is mentioned in ancient Sanskrit scriptures such as the Skanda Purana and the Padma Purana. While many celebrate it in commemoration of the return of Rama and Sita after 14 years of exile, others commemorate the return of Pandavas after 12 years of canvas and Agyatavas.   LVM3-M2 successfully launched 36 satellites into orbit   The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) launched a constellation of 36 broadband satellites developed by OneWeb into low-Earth orbit on October 23, Sunday. ISRO confirmed that the LVM3-M2/OneWeb India-1 mission successfully delivered 36 satellites into planned orbits. The satellites were launched onboard the Mark III launch vehicle, which carries a redesigned version of the Geosynchronous Launch Vehicle (GSLV) Mk -III is ), from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota. The start took place at 12:07am. Although GSLV LVM 3 has a payload capacity of 10 tons, the rocket launched at 6 tons.
